Rebuilding Together of Manchester helps people stay in the homes they love, when they can't make or pay for repairs themselves. We're committed to building a community where all homes are safe and healthy.

To be eligible to receive assistance from Rebuilding Together of Manchester a person must:

Own and occupy their home in Manchester, CT. 

Be unable to do the work themselves.

Welcome volunteers into their homes to share in this "neighbor helping neighbor" program.

Meet the income guidelines.

Complete an application and provide proof of ownership and total household gross income.

Priority is given to fixed, low to moderate income families, elderly or disabled individuals.

Roofing Rehabilitation Program:

To be eligible for the Roofing Rehabilitation Program a person must:

You must be the legal property owner and the home must be located in Manchester, CT.

You must currently have lived in the home for 5 years and plan to remain living in the home for at least the next 5 years.

You must be low-income and reasonably unable to complete the work on your own.

You must be up to date on your taxes, mortgage, and sewer and water bill.

Priority is given to those with an active leak and must be able to show and have verified with contractor and program administrator the active leak in the house.

Approval Process:

Applicant submits application to the House Selection Committee.

The committee meets with the prospective recipients to preview the nature of work to be done and verify information on application.

The number of homeowners assisted each year is dependent upon available resources such as: money for materials, volunteer labor and the ability to complete the work in one day.

All applications are considered.

A certain amount of publicity will be involved in order to bring the program back to the community year after year.
